Annual Appeal
In July each year, Alzheimers Annual Appeal takes place in the form of Cuppa for A Cause. Companies, groups and individuals organise 'cuppa' morning or afternoon teas with gold coin donations from participants. Some organisations host a quiz night or a photo memory board competition - whatever the event, the occasion is viewed as a fund-raising, social opportunity which also helps to raise positive awareness of dementia. We would like to thank all of the organisations and groups in 2009 that entered into the spirit of Cuppa and acknowledge some of the bigger contributors:
- Progressive Enterprises
- Blockhouse Bay Bowling Club
- St Heliers Presbyterian Church
- Hayes Knight
- Nielsen Media Research
- Hibiscus Coast Village
- Hillsborough Heights Village
- Lions Club of Mairangi Bay
- Lions Club of New Lynn
- Smith & Caughey.
In 2010 our Annual Appeal week is scheduled from 12th to18th July but your Cuppa can take place anytime, anywhere. Please ring Rosemary Ledingham on (09) 622-4230 or email rosemaryl@alzheimers.co.nz for any information on Cuppa for a Cause.
